What does ‘the team what is not seen’ mean. A company with several team members wishes for good on-sharing cooperation. Based on trust and good commitment. Unfortunately, many people do not have these experiences. They experience division in the team because of a manager's behaviour. For instance, a manager who gets along well with one or two from the team and pays more attention to them than the rest. This isn't bad once in a while but it starts to stand out when this is constant.
when the manager goes for a smoke
And when this also starts getting certain preferential treatment, this is definitely not good. To give an example, the whole team has to work hard and only has a thirty-minute break. However, the team members with the manager's preference turn out to be allowed more breaks. Like when the manager goes for a smoke or a coffee break and asks if certain team members can join him for a while, this is highly undesirable. Sure, it may be that some work needs to be discussed briefly. But when this happens every time, it is very undesirable towards the rest of the team.
cup of coffee or a short break
Especially when the other team members are constantly urged to work hard and even told to work faster. They too long for a cup of coffee or a short break. How frustrating it is then when they do see others doing this. Then you also have team members who fall in between. These are sometimes allowed to drink extra coffee when it suits the manager. Which in turn creates awkwardness among the rest of the team. Drinking coffee, extra breaks, shopping outside the door during working hours and even going out earlier but writing down normal working hours. In this, experience shows that the a manager who does this creates a nasty division in a team. Especially when this manager puts some team members first. And also loses the trust of the other team members who don't get the extra privileges. The whole team starts to notice and feel increasingly stressed. And the unfair, even powerless feeling is not conducive to the atmosphere and health of your staff. Would be nice if more attention was given to this word!
